CASA COCO

The elements of the site are the catalyst for the design: forest zone, architectural landscape and ocean garden. The design enhances the sequence from the road through the densely forested path into the building, which provides a perch from which to view and experience the ocean.

The preliminary sketches reflect an elegant modernism tempered by local materials of stone, bamboo and ceramics. The landscape form and materials would flow into areas of the house and weave together the constructed and natural elements of the site.
