BARN AND GUESTHOUSE
The barn was designed to provide a transition between the original Victorian Residence and the individual siblings’ houses. This 1300 s.f project is a rectangular dumbbell plan with a two car garage, storage and workshop below and an office, living and bedroom above. The three upper floor rooms center on a covered porch that frames a view of mountain ridge across the river. Natural ventilation is achieved through the location of the porch, windows, and two towers.
Materials include: a slab on grade, painted cedar siding, Pella doors and windows, Galvalume standing seam roofing and wood floors.
